Current Opening: Managing Attorney (Corporate & Dispute Resolution)

We are recruiting a Managing Attorney to join our team and lead the firm's day-to-day transactional and litigation practice. This is a rare opportunity to join a specialist firm at the ground floor — working directly with partners who helped draft Ethiopia's regulatory frameworks and have advised the World Bank, IFC, and five UN agencies.

What you'll do

  • Lead corporate and transactional matters: M&A, joint ventures, commercial contracts, due diligence, and investment structuring

  • Manage commercial litigation and arbitration matters from intake through resolution

  • Supervise and mentor associate attorneys

  • Serve as a first-line client contact across our six core practice areas

  • Contribute to business development and client relationships

What we're looking for

  • 5–7 years of post-qualification experience as a licensed Ethiopian attorney

  • Strong expertise in corporate law and dispute resolution — equally comfortable drafting a shareholders agreement and managing a contested matter

  • A track record of handling complex transactions and disputes independently

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and client-management skills

  • Experience in regulated industries (pharmaceuticals, banking, healthcare, NGOs) is an advantage
